About this spectacle

Each spring, the streets of Yeouido transform into a tunnel of pale pink as thousands of cherry trees lining Yunjungno burst into full bloom. Petals drift like soft snow onto the wide pedestrian promenade, brushing against visitors strolling beneath an unbroken canopy of blossom. The air carries a faint sweetness, and the soft rustle of petals falling in a breeze adds to a dreamlike atmosphere. In the evenings, lanterns and streetlights illuminate the blossoms from below, turning the avenue into a glowing pink corridor. Families, couples, and photographers crowd the boulevard during peak days, creating a festive energy. The Han River and the Seoul skyline provide a memorable backdrop when the canopy opens at intersections, making this one of the most visually celebrated spring events in South Korea.
