About this spectacle

Turner Falls drops roughly 77 feet over a natural travertine dam into a clear pool, making it one of Oklahoma's most photographed waterfalls. Visitors wade and swim in the cool, mineral-tinted water at the base, while the surrounding Arbuckle Mountains provide cedar-covered bluffs to explore. The falls roar loudest in spring following heavy rains, when the cascade widens dramatically. A network of paths and caves above the falls rewards those willing to climb, offering elevated views over the pool and the wooded canyon. Summer brings crowds of swimmers, but early morning arrivals often find the pool quiet and the light on the falls especially striking.
