About this spectacle

Triple Falls in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge is a dramatic three-tiered waterfall cascading through a lush, moss-draped canyon. Visitors hike through old-growth forest alive with ferns and birdsong before the falls reveal themselves in a series of powerful drops, each tier framing a wall of white water against dark basalt. The mist carries cool air even in summer heat, and the sound builds from a distant rumble to a full roar as you approach the lower viewpoint. In winter and spring, snowmelt swells the flow to its most spectacular, the creek churning jade-green before each plunge. The surrounding forest offers layered views through cedar and maple canopy, and the trail itself rewards hikers with intimate creek crossings and glimpses of smaller cascades along the way.
