Snoqualmie Falls
A stunning 268-foot waterfall in the Pacific Northwest, thundering year-round with dramatic spring flows and misty forest surroundings.
About this spectacle
Snoqualmie Falls is a dramatic 268-foot waterfall on the Snoqualmie River in Washington State, plunging into a churning mist-filled pool below. Visitors standing on the upper observation deck feel the cool spray-laden air and hear the constant thunder of falling water. The falls are particularly powerful during spring snowmelt, when the river runs high and the cascade broadens into a roaring curtain of white. A lower trail winds down to the river's edge, offering an immersive view of the falls from below. In winter, ice formations occasionally rim the edges of the falls, and in summer the surrounding forest glows lush green. The site is easily accessible and draws visitors year-round, making it one of the Pacific Northwest's most visited natural landmarks.
