Reindeer Migration — Finnmark Norway
The Sámi reindeer herds of Finnmark migrate 400 kilometres from the Finnmark Plateau's winter pastures to the Varanger and Nordkinn peninsulas' summer coastal grazing in May and June — the herds of 10,000–15,000 animals crossing the river systems in swimming migrations visible from the road bridges.
