Phraya Nakhon Cave near Prachuap Khiri Khan is one of Asia's most remarkable natural and cultural coincidences — a collapsed limestone cave with two ceiling holes through which shafts of tropical sunlight fall directly onto the Prasat Nakhon Kiri royal pavilion, built in 1890 for King Rama V, which stands illuminated in the cave floor like a sacred stage set.
