About this spectacle

Carbet Falls is a series of dramatic waterfalls cascading through the lush rainforest of Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe. Visitors descend into humid, verdant jungle where the roar of falling water grows louder with each step. The falls drop in tiers over volcanic rock, wreathed in mist and surrounded by ferns, heliconias, and tropical vegetation. The air is cool and damp close to the falls, a relief from the Caribbean heat. Trails wind through dense forest alive with birdsong and the scent of wet earth. The spectacle of white water against deep green canopy offers a striking visual contrast, and the spray creates small rainbows on sunny days. It is a genuinely immersive rainforest-waterfall experience that rewards those willing to hike the muddy paths.
