Boti Falls — Ghana
Twin waterfalls in Ghana's Eastern Region that merge at the base, best seen in full roar after the rains.
About this spectacle
Boti Falls is a twin waterfall located in the Eastern Region of Ghana, where two separate streams cascade down a forested hillside and merge at the base into a single pool. Visitors approach through lush tropical vegetation, hearing the roar of falling water before the falls come into view. The mist rising from the plunge pool cools the air noticeably, and the surrounding greenery — ferns, palms, and tropical trees — creates a vivid green canopy that frames the white water. The pool at the base is shallow enough to wade in during certain seasons. The falls are said to be most dramatic during and just after the rainy season, when water volume is at its peak. Birdsong fills the forest on the approach trail, and the relatively undeveloped setting gives the site a raw, natural character uncommon in more touristed destinations.
